New members - successful first quarter of growth for Caterfood Buying Group
Caterfood Buying Group (CFBG) has kicked off the year by welcoming two new businesses, following two significant acquisitions.
Both Harvest Fine Foods, based in Hampshire, and Thomas Ridley Foodservice, based in Suffolk, were previously members of the Country Range Group and will add significant weight and growth to our up-and-coming buying group. The total number of businesses within the CFBG is now seven including; South Lincs Foodservice, Caterfood (SW), Cimandis Foodservice, Elite Fine Foods, Nicol Hughes Foodservice, Harvest and Thomas Ridley Foodservice.

Harvest Fine Foods stood out to Caterfood Buying Group for its passion, ethos and reputation for providing ethically-sourced, fantastic local produce, as well as great service to their customers. Most importantly, Harvest was attracted to joining CFBG and felt we were the right fit for their business.
Phil Atyeo, MD of CFBG, said: “We look forward to Harvest joining our growing group of independently-run, well-respected foodservice businesses, and to working with them to combine their local expertise and range with our financial and strategic strengths. We’re very excited to welcome Harvest to the Caterfood Buying Group.”

Thomas Ridley Foodservice is a long-standing Suffolk food business with more than 200 years of history and a fantastic reputation for providing exceptional service to its customers.
On this new member, Phil Atyeo commented: “Thomas Ridley is another great fit for our forward-thinking and collaborative buying group. As well as learning from their expert teams, we are excited to work together to help make Thomas Ridley even better; investing in its site, its people and stocking exceptional products.
“As with all other businesses in the Group, Thomas Ridley will continue to run autonomously as an independent business, with our financial and strategic support where needed.”
