April 28, 2025

Elite Fine Foods, our Member based in Sussex, has always championed providing exceptional food and drink for its foodservice customers. As part of a new NPD range, Elevate, Elite has proudly launched this premium and authentic new bagel brand in the UK; New Yorker Bagels.

Based in the heart of New York City, it is the largest fresh bagel bakery in the world, baking over 500,000 bagels a day; delivering premium, authentic and traditional NYC bagels to every state in the US.

Now, this taste of New York is available in the UK for the very first time! This unique product line will soon be available to all eight CFBG Members.

Customers can choose from seven different flavours: the Everything Bagel, Sesame Bagel, Apple Cinnamon Raisin Bagel, French Toast Bagel, Plain Bagel, Poppy Bagel or Onion Bagel, with 72 frozen 115g bagels in each wholesale case.

Either served plain, with butter, or as a sweet or savoury feature dish for brunch menus or as the ultimate grab-and-go lunch option, these bagels are incredibly versatile, larger in size than other brands and of the highest quality.

The French Toast bagel in particular is perfect for creating a next-level brunch offering, elevating a traditional eggs benedict.

Gavin Scott, Business Development Director at CFBG, who has worked closely with Elite Fine Foods to launch this new product range, said:

“These bagels really are just exquisite and there’s nothing like them currently available in the UK in terms of their quality, which is why we’re really excited to be launching them as a key part of our NPD push.

“They’re the real deal and much bigger in size than other brands at 115g each - for a more satisfying product. These bagels are completely authentic: baked by the professionals in Queens, New York City, in the traditional way, where the softness of the water is the key to making a proper New York bagel! They are frozen straight away, taste amazing and are really versatile.

At Caterfood Buying Group, we are always looking ahead and searching for new and exclusive producers to bring great food to our customers. Through our agile and collaborative buying group structure, all of our members will soon be able to offer these fantastic products to their customers at really competitive prices.”

Gavin continued: “A key part of our new Elevate range, which showcases more than 40 different amazing brands, we’ve aimed to create an exceptional portfolio of NPD which is targeted at cafès, delis and restaurants, for operators who want something really different to help them stand out.

From exceptional British charcuterie, sourced from Cobble Lane Cured in London, Romana slab-style breads from Passione and decadent desserts from Fedipat – and of course these incredible New Yorker Bagels – the Elevate range is really special."

Stefanos Evangelinos, CEO of New Yorker Bagels, added: “We’re incredibly proud of the quality of our bagels and the heritage of the New Yorker Bagel brand. To have the opportunity to work with Elite Fine Foods and Caterfood Buying Group to bring our bagels to the UK market for the very first time is amazing. We’re excited to start seeing these bagels popping up on British menus for the first time!”
